Who and what is dClinic and the relationship to VIC Rewards?

dClinic is a Blockchain Technology Company promoting its dedicated universal medical blockchain that allows Application and Healthcare System providers to provide and integrate dApps which principally promote, “Patient Centric”, healthcare and wellness services within dClinic’s highly interoperable ecosystems. Based on dClinic’s dedicated Private Healthcare Blockchain (PHB), which ensures and promotes genuine transparent, secure and full auditable holistic healthcare interactions between consumers (patients) and their care team members.

The PHB promotes traditional healthcare interactions as well as wellness, well-being, anti-ageing, beauty and vitality services. dClinic achieves insights into all these valuable healthcare transactions through the use of its dedicated private healthcare blockchain platform (PHB), where information between providers and consumers (who are sometimes patients), is delivered completely, securely and in real-time.

dClinic has started implementing its PHB Eco-Systems in the ASEAN region and will soon move to other parts of the world. These PHB Eco-Systems are rich in partners, integrators and systems. With all these valuable interactions occurring within these PHB Eco-Systems, dClinic saw the opportunity to enrich the users, such as consumers and care team members, by launching its own true utility token called VIC (Vitality Coin).

The aim of this VIC is to reward the users and hence the product was named, VIC Rewards. These VIC Rewards are true utility tokens and valuable as they can be used for products and services within the PHB Eco-Systems, and since the Eco-Systems will have many (service and product) partners, the VIC Rewards can be used across many products and services.

So, in summary;

  1. dClinic is a Blockchain Technology company creating PHB Eco-Systems worldwide.
  2. dClinic has created and is now releasing a true utility token product leveraging the PHB Eco-Systems called VIC Rewards.
  3. VIC Rewards can be used for partner Products and Services within the PHB Eco-System.
  4. The VIC Rewards will operate on a Public Blockchain (initially ERC-20) while the PHB will be a Private Healthcare Blockchain.
  5. The Private and Public Blockchains will have strong co-dependency on each other. They each need the other.
  6. The more the PHB Eco-Systems grow the greater the value of the VIC Rewards.

The VIC Rewards Program is designed to reward Consumers, and Care Team members alike for adherence to and participation in their vitality plans to help them achieve a better healthier outcome, and therefore, to reduce healthcare costs worldwide.

We believe that you should be rewarded for keeping yourself healthy!

This won’t just benefit you as an individual, it can also benefit families, care givers, and your entire community. It can also help reduce healthcare costs for governments and healthcare organisations. VIC Rewards can drive positive healthcare outcomes in many ways.

Statistics today show that “productivity down”, “time off on sick leave”, and “depression/ mental health issues” being on the rise is costing governments billions of dollars every year, and its only getting worse. It is estimated that global spending on health will increase from US$9.21 trillion in 2014 to $24.24 trillion in 2040. It is expected per capita health spending to increase fastest in upper-middle-income countries, at 5.3% per year.

To create, drive and commoditize the VIC Rewards program, dClinic is linking the VIC Rewards to its PHB (Private Healthcare Blockchain) Eco-Systems. Although the PHB is a private secure blockchain because it manages healthcare data and transactions, through an API gateway, the VIC Rewards, operating on a Public Blockchain (ERC-20 in the first instance), can leverage good consumer healthcare behaviour, rewarding them as they participate and adhere to their care plans. Even dApps built on the PHB can transact and reward consumers.

PHB and VIC Rewards are purposefully closely coupled, and although operating on different blockchains, private and public respectively, their co-dependence ensures value, relevance and success for positive healthcare outcomes.

Current Healthcare Model

The statistics around healthcare today strongly suggest that nothing is changing for the better. The current healthcare system is under enormous strain as epidemics of acute health issues, diabetes, heart disease and obesity to name a few, continue to mount, costing consumers, organisations and governments billions each year.

Most clinics and medical facilities today follow a traditional one-on-one model of patient-provider interaction, which puts the provider (clinician) at the centre of a patient’s care rather than the patient or the consumer (that’s you by the way). Under this model it is not always easy for providers to consult with other healthcare givers, or to follow the patient’s progress as part of a holistic Care Team. This can lead to fragmented healthcare and unfollowed care plans. Thus patients/consumers (yes, you again) are left flailing around repeating your story over and over to each new doctor and not really having any strategic health and wellness plan to get the best healthcare outcome for you. This can leave you feeling like a number in a system, confused and dissatisfied, or at worst ill or undiagnosed.

dClinic was formed by a group of health, wellness and technology professionals that care about changing things in the world of healthcare, to create a rewards system that addresses some of these issues. This is VIC Rewards. A utility token rewards program designed to operate on dClinic’s dedicated Private Healthcare Blockchain (PHB) that creates rich healthcare Eco-Systems by integrating client dApps (Decentralized Applications) so healthcare organizations, providers, professionals and governments can leverage dClinic PHB (Private Healthcare Blockchain) as a backbone not only for their particular context but, also leverage the value that other dApps (data) bring to the PHB Eco-System.

If a care plan or vitality plan was designed and centred around the consumer, then the team of care givers can work together to create an individualised plan that has goals and outcomes that the consumer can work to for their best healthcare outcome.

And what if that team of care givers were rewarded for creating and helping the consumer (you) to participate in and adhere to, your vitality plan, then there would be a better outcome for you and them. Success all round.

We believe if you are rewarded for participating in and adhering to your vitality plan, you have much more incentive to do the set tasks and stay on track, giving you a better quality of life, as well as real rewards that you can use to purchase quality health and wellness associated services and products from our VIC Rewards Partners.

  1. The VIC Rewards Program can drive positive healthcare outcomes and help reduce healthcare costs for governments and healthcare organisations.
  2. VIC Rewards means you can access more services, products and goods through VIC Reward Partners for your health, wellbeing and lifestyle.
  3. VIC Rewards: Our goal is to put the health data ownership and rewards back into the consumer’s pocket.

VIC Rewards a Game Changer in Healthcare

So how is VIC Rewards a game changer in healthcare?

As consumers adhere to the set care or vitality plan and make conscious choices to live a healthier lifestyle such as;

  1. Eating better and more nutritious food,
  2. Doing daily exercise,
  3. Having a vitality or health screening regularly, or
  4. Completing an online survey in relation to the vitality plan, VIC Rewards are earned.

The more VIC Rewards earned, the more services and products can be accessed through our related Rewards Partners and Facilities operating on the PHB.

When consumers are enjoying a healthier life by actively participating in their healthcare goals, the happier and healthier they will be.

More health equals more rewards, and more rewards equals more health, for consumers and for the community. Studies show that healthy happy people are more productive in the workplace and therefore are less strain on the healthcare system and this lowers healthcare costs for governments and healthcare organisations. This can also have beneficial flow on effects for health insurance companies as healthier people equates to less claims, which could reduce insurance premiums for consumers in the future.

If a consumer is working towards outcomes on a care plan, they can also communicate with their Care Team through the VIC Rewards Care Team App. This will help them stay on track with vitality plan goals to ensure they achieve rewards.

We believe that the health and wellbeing of each person is important and that the team of specialists and carers that assist individuals should also be rewarded for helping achieve these health goals. With a good a variety of partners to bring a full range of extra health and wellness products and services, the rewards collected can be benefitting consumers and care givers, in everyday wellbeing and life as well.
